Overview
Peaseley and Derryberry serves as legal counsel in a variety of areas, including: the structuring and closing of real estate financial transactions; health care transactions; issuance of tax-exempt revenue bonds; private securitization and mortgage investment vehicles including mortgage conduit programs; and loan refinancing and restructuring. We focus on delivering sophisticated legal advice in all areas and our experience enables us to prevent and resolve challenges in the process.

Experience
Both of our managing partners served as Chief Legal Counsel with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and they have translated their knowledge of the internal HUD system into private practice. Working inside of HUD and outside, the firm’s lawyers and staff have employed one guiding principle above all others: In solving closing problems, it’s not enough to know what HUD requires – one also must know why HUD requires it, because that knowledge facilitates the most favorable results for all parties to a transaction.
